The cookie stores information that is related to the specific device used. However, this does not mean that we immediately gain knowledge of your identity.

The use of cookies serves, on the one hand, to make the use of our services more pleasant for you. For example, we use session cookies to recognize that you have already visited certain pages on our website. These are automatically deleted when you leave our site.
Additionally, we also use temporary cookies to optimize user convenience, which are stored on your device for a specified period. Additionally, we use tracking measures to statistically record the use of our website and evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our offer. These interests are considered legitimate within the meaning of the aforementioned provision.

The specific purposes of data processing and the data categories can be found in the respective tracking tools.

b) On this website, the web analytics software Piwik (www.piwik.org) is used to collect and store data for marketing and optimization purposes.

Piwik creates pseudonymous usage profiles from this data, and cookies are used. Cookies are small text files that are stored locally in the browser cache of the site visitor’s web browser. The cookies enable the recognition of the web browser.

The data collected with the Piwik technology (including your anonymized IP address) is transmitted to our server and stored for usage analysis purposes, which helps us to optimize the website. The information generated by the cookie in the pseudonymous user profile is not used to personally identify the visitor to this website and is not combined with personal data about the holder of the pseudonym. If you disagree with the storage and analysis of this data from your visit to our website and wish to object in the future, you can prevent the use of cookies and thus participation in the tracking. To do this, you can set your browser to notify you when cookies are set and decide whether to accept them individually or exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or generally. If you do not accept cookies, the functionality of our website may be restricted.
i) Google Analytics

For the purpose of demand-oriented design and continuous optimization of our pages, we use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (https://www.google.de/intl/en/about/) (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; hereinafter “Google”). In this context, pseudonymous usage profiles are created, and cookies (see section 4) are used. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website includes:

-
Browser type/version
-
Operating system used
-
Referrer URL (the previously visited page)
-
Hostname of the accessing computer (IP address)
-
Time of the server request

This information is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The information is used to evaluate the use of the website, to compile reports on website activities, and to provide other services related to website and internet use for market research and demand-oriented design of these internet pages. These information may also be transferred to third parties if required by law or if third parties process the data on behalf of Google. Under no circumstances will your IP address be combined with other data from Google. The IP addresses are anonymized so that an association is not possible (IP masking).

You can prevent the installation of cookies by adjusting your browser settings accordingly; however, please note that in this case, not all functions of this website may be fully used.
You can further prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing a browser add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en).

ii) Google AdWords Conversion Tracking

To statistically capture the use of our website and evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our website for you, we also use Google Conversion Tracking.

In this process, Google AdWords sets a cookie (see Section 4) on your computer if you arrived at our website via a Google advertisement.

These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits specific pages of the AdWords client's website and the cookie has not expired, Google and the client can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to that page.
Each AdWords client receives a different cookie. Therefore, cookies cannot be tracked across the websites of AdWords clients. The information gathered via the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords clients who have opted for conversion tracking. The AdWords clients learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that could identify users personally.

If you do not wish to participate in the tracking process, you can also reject the setting of cookies required for this by adjusting your browser settings to prevent cookies from being automatically set in general. You can also disable cookies for conversion tracking by adjusting your browser to block cookies from the domain “www.googleadservices.com.” Google's privacy policy on conversion tracking can be found here (https://services.google.com/sitestats/en.html).

iii) Matomo

We use the open-source software Matomo to analyze and statistically evaluate the use of the website. For this purpose, cookies are used (see Section 4). The information generated by the cookie about website usage is transferred to our servers and summarized in pseudonymous usage profiles. The information is used to evaluate the use of the website and to enable a user-oriented design of our website. No information is shared with third parties.

In no case is the IP address linked with other data concerning the user. The IP addresses are anonymized, so that identification is not possible (IP masking).

Your visit to this website is currently being tracked by Matomo Web Analytics. Click here (https://matomo.org/docs/privacy/) to prevent your visit from being tracked.

When you visit a page of our website that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection with the servers of the social networks. The content of the plugin is directly transmitted by the respective providers to your browser and embedded into the website.

By embedding the plugins, the providers receive the information that your browser has accessed the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have an account with these providers or are not logged in. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted directly from your browser to a server of the respective provider and stored there.
If you are logged into one of the social networks, the provider can directly associate your visit to our website with your user account. When you interact with the plugins, for example by clicking the “LIKE” or “SHARE” button or sharing content on the social networks, the corresponding information is also transmitted directly to a server of the respective provider and stored there. This information is also published on the social network and displayed to your contacts.

The providers can use this information for advertising, market research, and the user-oriented design of their pages. To do so, the providers create usage, interest, and relationship profiles to evaluate your use of our website with regard to the ads displayed on the social networks, inform other users about your activities on our website, and provide other services related to the use of the respective social network.

If you do not want the providers to associate the data collected through our website with your user account, you must log out of the respective social networks before visiting our website.
